I went there with a group of friends during the day in the peak of summers and had a pint or two. Though nothing is really out of the box for this place, I can imagine why it is so popular among the young crowd.
The ambience is quite comforting and welcoming plus it is well spaced. Also, it has a Caribbean/Jamaican feel to it with all the reggae music playing behind. Since we went there just for a while, we only ordered beers and a Shishtouk. The dish was well done and presented the way it should be.
Later on, we decided on staying there for sometime more. Hence, we placed an order for a blueberry smoothie, fish and chips and mezze platter. The service was fairly good keeping in mind the number of people present there at the time. The smoothie wasn’t really worth mentioning.
Then came the mezze platter and it was one of the most elaborate ones that I had ever had. Raasta’s mezze platter, due to the sheer size of their ceramic plate and the beautiful presentation, looked like a king-size platter and very tempting as the visual appeal gave it an added advantage. It had everything, warm pita pockets, falafel, samosa and the only time that someone thought of serving paneer tikkas in a mezze platter.
