This was a place for the locals of Mylapore, who frequented this place for traditional south indian food. The food was cooked with fire wood, and the cooks were the old employees of this eatery.
Around 2pm, once could see hot bajjis, kesari with traditional filter coffee being served and the calculation was done on a slate before once could pay. Any one on Kutchery Road could tell you about these Rayar Hotel in those days. I am happy to note that it is still existing and would definitely pay a visit with my family once I am in chennai.
