Nadeem Shravan are well on the scene with the Music of Raaz. The superb Music surely does grab ones attention very easily. This is one of my very personal favourites.
The Album opens with:
Jo Bhi Kasmein - The song is very well sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. The beats are of a Western style but the tune is very much Indian. Nadeem Shravan do manage to provide something different in the music. 7/10
Mein Agar Saamne - This is one of Nadeem Shravan’s new beats of the Dholki. The bass pattern is very stylish. Abhijeet and Alka adapt to the situation very easily. With wonderful instrumentation, this song surely does dominate the radios listeners choice across the globe. 8/10
Aapke Pyaar Mein - This is definitely the Number 1 track in the Album. With such beautiful lyrics by Sameer, it is blessed with beautiful singing by Alka Yagnik ant the tune is so brilliant that one has to admit that it is one of Nadeem Shravan’s best compositions. Nadeem Shravan’s main favourite Instruments like the Saxophone, Piano and Violin make it an awesome tune. 10/10
Kitna Pyaara Hai - Udit and Alka handle this track very well by singing in their most best style. The music style has the Nadeem Shravan 90s style. This can be noticed in the Musical pieces between the verses of the song. 9/10
Itna Main Chahoon Tujhe - Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan are up again with this romantic duet song. The tune is composed in the Shivranjni scale which makes it very heart touching. This song has one of Nadeem Shravan’s favourite Dholki beats which they combine with the Electronic Drum Kit. They once again use the cymbal between the breaking of the beats. The use of the Sitaar in the song makes it very unique. Excellent Music deserves10/10
Pyar se Pyar - Abhijeet comes up again with this male version of Aapke Pyar Mein with the lyrics being different and the tune remaining the same. The beautiful orchestra of this song allows the lyrics to be very meaningful. The music and lyrics deserve10/10 but Abhijeet allows his singing to be slightly above average 6/10.
Mujhe Tere Jaisi - Sarika Kapoor and Udit sing this in a very active style and the tune is composed to suit the situation. The lyrics are also on the spot. 5/10
The album closes with Yeh Shaher which is ironically the first song in the film. Bali Bhrambhatt and Jolly Mukherji contribute well to the theme of the song making it sound interesting. 5/10
Overall this Album is composed brilliantly by Nadeem Shravan and Sameer and is a must buy for any music lover. Thanks once again to Nadeem Shravan for this great piece of work. ’It has managed to win the Zee Cine Award for best Music in 2002!’
