Finally after almost 10 year aditya chopra decided to take the centerstage, so all eyes are on him and on the album of rab ne bana di jodi. this is the make or break time for salim-suleman if they mess it up then it’s all over but if they strike they will be in "A" leauge, so lot to look forward in the album
the album start with the song "tujh main rab dikhta hai" roop kumar rathor recreating the magic which he has done in "tere liye" from veer zara, a beutiful melodious song it reminded me the songs of late 70’s superb melodious songs surely this one is a great repeat value, lyrics are so simple but yet so effective.superb start to the album, everytime I hear the song it brins tears in my eyes simple but very effective
Then comes "haule haule" the song which made debut on srk’s birthday a sweet melodious song and has all the potential to be a blockbuster song, shukhwinder singh yet again shows what he is capable of, another winner of the album, and the way it has been shot insures that it will be an instant hit.
third song is "dance pe chance" by sunidhi chauhan a reasonably good song will depend on how it will picturised, lot of narative lyrics suggest that it will have a important part of the movie, looks like someone teaching srk how to dance looking forward to see it on the screen
"phir milenge chalte chlte " shows what sonu nigam is capable of .brillirant composition a special tribute to oldies just awesome you just want to listen and listen a superb superb song, certainly among the best this year, it contains name of the movies and songs from rajkpoor to rishi kapoor very very intresting .
"tujh main rab" sad version is another good one by shreya ghosal, short and sweet song.
"dancing jodi" is regular instrumental but with good arrangment
so finally what’s the verdict? the album has all the feeling that need to be a in a good album "rab ne bana di jodi" has all things that a album need .it almost reinvents the simplicity and the melodies just superb album.the only regret is that it has very few songs.
