Rabbit At Rest - John Updike

I have to admit that I’m not a big Updike fan. His character is realistic, but I don’t really like him. The book revolves around Angstrom, a headstrong and oversexed rabbit who agrees on his journey to death. Between his illicit affairs, his tumultuous relationship with his drought-dependent son, and his failed business ventures, there is little to empathize with about Rabbit. . When Updike finally addresses some interesting plot issues, he stops abruptly and wanders through tangents filled with unnecessary and redundant exposition.
