These were my first words after suffering the 1st hour of the film. It’s a total debacle, nothing in the film seems to work out. Abbas-Mustan has totally lost it, even if all their earlier movies were inspired from Hollywood but the direction was crisp, be it Khiladi, Baazigar, Baadshah, Ajnabee, Humraaz & Race1.
They were nicknamed as master of thrillers, but their direction is really getting from bad to worse.
Perhaps they haven’t learned anything after the debacle of PLAYERS and now they are making it a habit to give the 1st big flop of every year.
Animated, Lousy, Loud, Vulgar and Childish, these words are enough to summarize the movie in one sentence.
Regarding the cast performance, Amisha Patel & Jacqueline looked like some soft porn-stars, Anil kapoor is discovering newer depths and degrees of lowness with those over the top PJ’s, John Abraham perhaps has still not recapitulated from the FORCE dilemma, and has given one of the worst ever performance in a negative role (after Neil Nitin Mukesh in Players).
The saving grace were only Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone to an extent & of course the music by Pritam, the songs are a sure shot hit in all discs, pubs and parties.
The screenplay is so lousy and the twists so lame that even a 5th standard can get the catch.
The movie will not be able to recover it’s cost as it seemed by the sets, sequences and locations that it was made on a high budget.
The only saving grace can be this long weekend and no other big movie releasing this week.
I hope Race3 never happens.
