EmbRACE Yourselves - Twists and Turns Ahead!!!

Well, this one’s special for me as it is the first Hindi movie that I saw with my fiancée!:) I must admit that I watched this flick even without going through a single review.

RACE

* is truly the first blockbuster of the year. It packs an amazing plot, coupled with some good action thrills, decent car chases, lively chart-topping songs, and not to underestimate, a great background score.

A typical Abbas-Mastan flick, RACE keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout its two and a half hour duration. The movie has an amazing star-studded cast of Saif Ali Khan, Akshayee Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, and Sameera Reddy. Saif looks quite astounding in his cast, and spills quite a charismatic performance. He plays a multi-millionaire stud-farm owner, who likes to live life dangerously. His performance stands out among all the other main performances in the movie. Bipasha also does justice to her character. Katrina, who plays Saif’s personal secretary, looks very subdued throughout; although, the role provided more scope for her to display her talent. Akshayee plays Saif’s younger brother - drinking away to glory(he even has beer in place of bed-tea!) and good for nothing. He, as usual is quite good, though he does an exaggerated scene here and there. Anil Kapoor plays a cop(aka Karamchand) with Sameera his’not-so-witty’ assistant(aka Kitty in the serial Karamchand). They make way for some light moments in this intense plot. A special mention to make here is for the cameo played by Jhonny Lever - he returns to the big screen after quite a while to deliver this simply hilarious scene! Just don’t miss it.

Well, as we come to the plot, a lot of credit to the movie’s success goes to its plot. Ok, ok . I won’t be revealing the plot here - it won’t make any sense for you to go see the movie after knowing its plot!:) But yes, I’d like to mention that out of all movies that the director-duo have made, this one stands a way bit high, as far as the movie’s plot and its picturisation is concerned. To top it with the peppy songs, which includes the hit ’O Janeja’ by Atif(though am not sure how much credit goes to Pritam, the movie’s music director:P), and the jazzy dance sequences(Bipasha, Katrina, and Sameera provide all the required masala and eye-candy!), this movie makes all the way to the top of Bollywood charts.

Vroooomm.

Come, hop in for some’meaty’ twists and turns! And yes, don’t forget to tie your seat belts. this one’s surely gonna take you for a’surprisingly nasty’ ride!
