We had really bad experience with the pediatric doctor Vishwanath Bhat.He diagonised our 5 year old kid with Phimosis. He asked us for Circumcision to be done under GA(general anesthesia) at the earliest.He said its not curable after child turns 5 years.Also he said it would be done by a general surgeon .He did not even refer any pediatric surgeon.We were under so much mental tension after that.
He did not even try any treatment option for it.When we checked on internet its is mentioned that surgery is not required in 95% cases.We consulted another pediatric surgeon regarding the same.He gave us an ointment for the same and asked us to use it for 1 month.We used the ointment and our kid is cured of Phimosis..IMAGINE THE PAIN THAT THE CHILD WOULD HAVE TO UNDERGO had we followed Vishwanath Bhats advice.
Also huge expense for all the tests required before GA and for surgery.We hardly spent 70 Rs. for ointment.We had given DPT and MMR vaccinefor our child.DPT given by him was a painful one which is hardly Rs 20 in market. He charged whopping Rs 2000/-. for that.
Its up to you parents to decide whether you should follow the advice of this DR.I would never visit him or recommend him again.
