Desi ghee items are one of the specialties of Radhey Lal Sweets. Located on the Kapoorthala main road that goes and meets the road coming from Nirala Nagar to Purania Chauraha at Alkapuri Tiraha, Radhey Lal Sweets doubles up as a small restaurant with a clean and hygienic environment to dine-in. The customer service is prompt. They offer both dine-in and takeaway options. The place is good to take your family to lunch or dinner, but only if all the seats are not taken up already! You could go with friends for a quick bite or go alone for snacking.
The sweets are a must should you decide to visit this place. It is an old and quite recognised shop and landmark in Lucknow. Besides that, the Indian fast food items like ’chaats’, ’samosas’, ’tikkis’, ’paani-puris’ or ’paani- bataashe’ etc. are also available just outside the main restaurant area with two separate counters to reduce hassle. The samosas cost Rs. 15 per piece but they also come stuffed with cashews and ’kishmish’ along with the regular spiced potato stuffing, not to mention that they are made in desi ghee. A lot of ’chaat’ variants are available at reasonable prices; chaats like ’aloo-tikki’, ’matar-tikki’, special basket chaat and so on.
They also serve some South Indian food items.
Radhey Lal has a quite old food tradition and their value-for-money quality food items justify that.
