Turn on the radio or be left out well that is one thing we bangaloreans so ritely believe in.In the short span of 8 months that Radiocity 91FM has been with us we literally have begun to eat , dream, sleep n of course listen to the Radio.Well the Radio has become such a integral part of our lives that we wake up to them and end our day with them.
(1)Breakfast Show-Well hosted by the show stopper Chick Gita Modgil -the universal guy heart throb around the place the show has everything ranging from horoscopes to business reports to traffic updates which tell u the condition of traffic on all the major road junctions when U r travelling.The choice of music is quite gud.The show is from 7.00 to 11.00 in the morn.
(2)Matinee Show-Well The warm, friendly voive of Seetal Iyer charms ur Mid day blues with nostalgic Hindi numbers from the yesteryears .Right from Manna Dey to Kishore kumar, from Mukesh to udit narayan this how has it all.this is from 11.00 P.m tp 2.00 P.M.
(3)Request Show-Well should say now has quite lost itzz charm coz Gita Modgil is no longer on it, n Johzie does it all by himself.The fights n the bickerings are solely missed n as Sensiva put it taking the names off air for personal dedications too are pretty disappointing.this is from 2.00 to 4.00 P.M.
(4)Radiocity cafe-Well the Radiocity Blue eye boy Rohit Barker hosts this show which is all abt happening bangalore and a great collection of music.this is from 4.00 to 6.00 P.M.
(5)Hotair-Well here we come to my favourite part -Suresh Venkat.A guy whose voice well leaves me speechless, His awesome baritone and charm quite makes every evening of mine really worth it.His collection of Hindi songs is particularly gud and so are his Bollywood Headlines and the gossip.the show is from 6.00 to 10.00 P.M.
well apart from these we have Priya’s’ Latenite Show ’for all u hard core rock N Metal fans.Chaitanya’s ’’Chow Chow bath’’for all u kannada film buffs and the ’’Full meals ’’again with Seetal on Sunday 12.00 P.M.
We also have the very Popular ’Lingo Leela’, (for all those of u unaware that is The extremely talented Priya Ganapathy)who claims to be the propagator of colloquial Kannada language her ’word of the day’ is simply complete with her explanation n accent totally Kannada ishtyle n hilarious.
Well the most popular part abt Radiocity is that it is highly intercative and the RJ’s really friendly and approachable.Also we have the segments like ’Whatzz Up B’lore’, the traffic updates n pollution updates which r much more that the entertainment.
