There was a time when rasio used to rule....since not many had the idiot box at their home. It was a time of sweet songs..the Cibaca geetmala every thursday or so. Mr. Amin Sayani entertaining us all.
Then gradually came our Tv bhai into the limelight jus to make everyone Couch Potatoes. With all Saas bahu stuff and with all the ’’K’’ fixation we welcomed him(TV yaar) into our lives.
But as they say history repeats itself...radio is BACK again....must say it all started with Radio Mirchi ...but in Mumbai its Radio City who’s on most of the ears..coz its got the Samajhnewali bhasha...HINDI...not the english stuff like radio mirchi..thus making it a favorite with housewives, paanwalas..kiddos and people of all ages.
Day for radio city 91(MUMBAI)FM starts with Manish Valicha...a chirpy guy ...favorite of housewives...is achirpy guy entertaing from 7am-10am with all new hindi songs and some hot happeningz. The comes Lavanya(one must say she really needs to improve her hindi)...she hosts from 10am-2pm putting on some classic songs and some songs from 90s and 80s. The day goes on with anirudh...a great funter.
The songs played on radio city are really good but they usually repeat it everyday...then it starts sounding BORRRING.
One must listen to Karan Singh...the shayari master...recites some wonderful shayris at 9pm everyday from Mon-Fri. Its too good.
The RJs are really good out here...with no faaltogiri stuff. But really keep entertaining everyone. Thats all that I can say friends.
