Local language?

Although it was a bold step to re-invent the wheel by putting radio back into the mainstream, RadioCity 91 surely fumbled when they rudely denied any sort of programming in the local language i.e. Kannada.

They’ve even stopped playing english numbers -- wonder if they ever put their ears to the listener’s words at all. While the Government owned Akashavani Rainbow FM on 101.3 has become a huge success as they’ve consistently maintained the ratio between all these three languages.

So the larger population of the city - Kannadigas, now views them as absolute aliens blubbering hindi 24/7. I’m sure this kind of a treatment won’t be tolerated to a wee bit in other states. So its hightime we stop asking for our rights. If they cannot learn a lesson in 3 years, we’re sure they never will. We sincerely hope they pullout of this city and save us the crap!
