Radio Mirchi was the first pvt Fm radio service to be launched in Pune. When it started off it was a good change cause there were none available here. and poor Punieties had no choice so they accepted Radio mirchi with open arms.
Its been almost 4 years since its launch in Pune and I must tell u I haven’t seen a worse radio Fm channel.
I have heard Fm radios in Bombay, Bangalore, etc and I must tell you that radio mirchi Pune is the worst. I think Radio Mirchi is doing a better job in other cities but in Pune it lags miles behind
The songs broadcast on Radio Mirchi are mundane. particularly the Hindi service is worst. I don’t know the reason for this attitude either the Radio Mirchi management is incapable or their they need to be woken up from their slumber. most of the radio program’s for eg traffic updates etc are a waste of time because there is hardly any traffic worth announcing in Pune unlike other metros.
Among the stuff thats worth commending is the Saturday night DJ music and some occasional retro stuff.
Radio jockeys Prakriti, Mandy, and another Maharashtrian girl I don’t remember her name are rotting and rusting. These girls keep on giggling endlessly why doesn’t some one just tell them not to make a fool of themselves There was this guy called Khokho Patil now this gentleman had a different style and his Maharashtrian accent was funny. but over the years he has become repetitive and unbearable.
There are shows in the afternoon that are absolutely for morons, stupid childish moronic questions are asked to the listeners and callers are invited to answer those questions and the questions asked to the listers are????? why did the chicken cross the road? haaaaaaaaaaa hoooooooo haaaaaaaaaaa (morons)
if there were no school to kya hota???? haaaaaa hooooooooo haa (bang your heads against the wall)
Radio Mirchi Pune is substandard and the language used by them is absolutely Ghatti
the only radio jockey that deserves some points is a guy called Charu who know his job. rest I think all are mediocre
Radio mirchi Pune needs some surgical changes. or better unless some other Fm channel comes on the scene and shows them how a FM channel works
