I don’t know what the big hype about MIRCHI is. Everything said and done, the music played is very ordinary, and repetitive. In a day, if I am to hear MIRCHI for 4 hours, maximum I would hear about 12 different songs. Moreover, the jockey’s are very ordinary- atleast the one’s in Kolkata. The only show on MIRCHI I look forward to is the one hosted by Sajid Khan on movies. It is genuinely funny! Otherwise, the same corney jokes, the same artificial laughter, the same made up accent, punched with real bad music selection makes MIRCHI my least favourite radio channel. If asked, they could do much better with the technical and monetary backing they have of the Times group.
