If you are a die-hard SRK fan, definitely watch the film since it is the typical Bollywood potboiler with all the elements woven in. SRK has delivered a good performance but nothing extraordinary. Personally I would not recommend this movie to anyone as I felt that I wasted my money by watching it at the theater when I could have gone for a better option like’La La Land’. Cliched to the core, with a paper thin plot and some hilarious action sequences like SRK bashing up goons with a goat’s head, Raees is the kind of movie one should opt for only after leaving their brains at home. I wish SRK made meaningful cinema like’Dangal’ specially at this stage of his career. The supporting cast was good with Nawazuddin genuinely stealing the show with his acting prowess. However, even he cannot save a film like this because of all the ludicrousness it puts up such as a convict winning the elections sitting in jail. Who knows from where he got the ticket to contest the election? The less said, the better!
