I hate hindi movies! to be more precise, I hate main-stream hindi movies, but I usually appreciate parallel cinema, especially if it is a comedy!
Raghu Romeo is a very funny movie indeed! Raghu is a waiter in a bar, and is totally into a typical hindi soap ’’dard ka rishta’’. He also likes one of the girls dancing in the bar.
Raghu gets into a fight with a patron of the bar, who is a hitman.
OK, I don’t think I should write the whole story here !! the highlights of the movie are the brilliant performances, and the subtle humour. There is also a good deal of slap-stick comedy, but not too much !
The twists and turns in the movie are mostly uppredictable. There are some undercurrents of mainstream movies. There are songs, not great, but well suited to the occasions.
The movie is guaranteed to keep you interested for a long time, though I felt it was a bit too long. The movie could have been 20 - 25 minutes shorter. Overall a great movie, definitely worth a watch I you like humour.
