When dravid started off, I was of the opinion that this guy could go on to become the next big thing in cricket! Some seven years down the lane and I am still waiting! for all his technical correctness, this guy seems to be lost in his inability to discover his own potential! manjrekar used to be one terrific perfectionist of technique, but his pathetic scoring rate came in his way of truly announcing himself! This guy has for long gone the same way! Recently he has tried to push the tempo but then he forgets to rotate the strike! probably too much modelling has left this bloke with the impression that he is actually paid by the board to stand at the wicket with a bat in his hand! It probably would fetch him a couple of blows early on, but in the long run he would definitely find it helpful to try to be innovative! Enough of his pathetic bad ball theory! you have to create the bad deliveries for yourself! Thats where the wheat is separated from the chaff! Even in test matches this bloke would be useful where theres plenty of time to score runs or the only option is to play out a gritty draw! you can then trust him not to throw away his wicket, but where the situation demands that he take an initiative, he comes out a cropper more often than not!
