Raigad is the most popular fort in maharashtra for trekors and the visitors .
This fort is located in raigad district in maharashtra this fort is win by the lord Shivaji Maharaj. They makes raigad as there home town ( rajdhani) on thise fot, there are seven big halls for their seven wifes. On thise for there are many historical memories like,
The shivaji maharaj’s rajyabhishek happen here on thise fort.
There are thousands of steps on the fort and nany doars.
In the past when we go these fort there is way from there thousands of steps . But now a day there was a rope-way on the bottom of the raigad fort.abusely it is not as free there was a ticket for these but there purchase are low.
I think in 1818 the british attack raigad fort and they fired on the fort by thise the all wooden work present on fort will be destroy , there for now there are remains only stones but , some thinks there is very good like meghdambari, shivaji maharaja’s statue mahadev temple and the statue of shivaji maharaja’s dog whose name are Waghya.
There on the top of fort there is a ground which name was ( The Holicha Mal) in the period of shivaji maharaj they are celebrate holika dehen with all of their peoples so these called as holicha mal.
there are on more intresting thinck on the top of the fort is the market.there is market, in the period of shivaji maharaj there was a market .the shop of the market are on top height because.
In these market peopls shop by seating on horse so his called a ghode peth. In these market there are 24 shops on left side and 24 on right side.
Raigad is very intresting and very good picnic spot.
