I booked Goa to Mumbai bus tickets on Raj National Express Bus -travel date 19th Aug 2008.The bus was supposed to start at 8 PM from Goa and reach Mumbat at 7:30 AM the next day. Well, it started on time but the journey was so bad that
No blankets or water bottles were given on the bus as advertised.
The water started dripping on the head from near the AC vent and the cleaner did not even bother to clean it even after multiple reminders.
The worst was waiting to happen and the bus broke down at chiplun(?) at 1: 20 AM and covered hardly 20-30 km in next 4 hrs. No replacement bus arrived. At 6 AM at an unknow location - we got another bus and the mechanic started repairing the bus. The passengers were fed up by then and hearing that there is not enough diesel in addition to the problem - the passenger started shouting at the mechanic and the drivers. After 30 mnts of drama the driver allowed us to swap the bus.
Finally we reached Kandivali at 1:30 PM - 6 hrs late than promised.
A total disaster service. See the attitude of the staff - they all should be lawyers - they argue till the last breadth and on top of their lungs - only for the wrong reasons and to avoid work.
