In contrast to the earlier review written on Rajdhani in Malad, our experience has been pretty decent. We decided to visit this place at Inorbit Mall on the 15th of August expecting a decent crowd. However the volume of crowd surprised us. It looked like the whole of Malad/Borivali/Andheri was at Rajdhani. There were two groups of 80 and 100 people who were waiting. We had to wait for nearly 2 hours to finally get a place inside (Although the wait was also fun, with so many Shopping options). By the time we got in at around 3.15, people had started booking for the evening !!!!!
But the wait was worth it !!! Inspite of the crowd, the service was quite prompt. The managers were going around asking people if they need anything, and telling them to eat aaram se and no need to hurry up. Coming to the quality of food, having eaten at number of Gujarathi Thali Restaurants, I can vouch that Rajdhani is right up there at the TOP. It is not very heavy on the pocket as well. I look forward to visiting the place on a weekday as well. The service is top notch and you can eat peacefully without being hassled. They have practiced a signalling system so they dont have to shout and the waiters just raise the fingers to call for anything you need.
Update
I happened to eat at Rajdhani Borivali and it was such a let down in all terms. As expected, in Gujju dominated area, there is bound to be huge crowd. However their management of this crowd was pathetic to say the least. While giving our name, we were told it will take 30 minutes...However our turn came after 1 and half hour !!! It was the same story with others as well and everyone was really angry and this mismangement.
Even the food quality was no where near the Rajdhani standards...and the service was okiesh. The borivali branch it seems is yet to adopt the signal system and hence they were going around shouting causing a fish market like atmosphere...
SO if you are in mood to eat Gujju Thali, travel to Inorbit and avoid Borivali branch...
