There are not many options available for vegetarians these days. We mostly settle for North Indian food as other cuisines don’t accommodate our needs well. Hence, when we decide to eat out we are mentally prepared to be disappointed.
I had heard of Rajdhani restaurants before but never had the chance to visit it. Since I shifted close to Forum Mall lately, a bunch of cousins and me decided to give this restaurant a try. We went there during the lunch hours and opted for the thali. The thali was served traditionally in copper plates and the spread was majestic. They served a huge variety of curries ranging from saag, various vegetable preparation, two types of daal, chutney, pickles, dahi wada, kachori, dal khichdi, rice, fulkas, papads and so many other things.
The serving was generous and you could eat as much as you like. But trust me, the copious amount of food served on the plate will not leave you wanting for more. By the time you finish the first round you will be stuffed. They served traditionally flavored buttermilk and steaming gulab jamun for dessert.
I absolutely loved the place, especially the food. I wonder why I never visited Rajdhani before. It was a great experience and next time I would bring my family as well. It is a typical Gujrati/ Rajasthani atmosphere and my parents simply would love it.
