My father’s first bike was Rajdoot. It was originally launched keeping in my the roads and people of Rural India. Rajdooot means Reliability and was my father’s reliable source to travel anywhere. I remember I compelled my father to teach me the bike but it was too heavy to handle. I could easily handle other bikes but it was beyond my approach.
After my father’s death, I did not want to sell the bike so took along with me to the city. I used to take my bike along and yes it gave me a Enfield rugged look as it was classic but at the same time I faced many problems. It is old golden bike of India lasting for more than years. It was very difficult for me to take turns and control the bike in city area as cannot ride the way I used to ride in rural areas. I would say even though it is a good bike it is not meant for today.
