THE Indian bike

Perhaps it made it’s entry in Indian market at the wrong time. Nevertheless, I believe it was the ultimate and no other bike can deliver what it can, even after twenty years of age! The sound of the twin two-stroke cylinders is un surpassable. Though the latest bikes in Indian market may boast higher power, the acceleration of Yamaha RD 350 is still unbeatable. Its torqe-speed characterstics are excellent. Its stability is excellent at higher speeds due to its weight distribution. Mileage is certainly poor compared to new bikes in similar segment. Handling is also a problem due to its sheer weight, but only as long as you take off. I would suggest to have this bike as your second vehicle, to be used leisurely. Expert mechanics are few. But you will find a couple of them in each of the metros. Looks may be out of date by todays’ standards, but personally I have a great regard for them. If you consider youself a bike lover, you must have a ride sometime on RD 350
