Rajmachi is a beautiful place which consists of two beautiful peaks namely "Shivardhan" and "Manaranjan".We had gone there on 13th Sept 2008 and our strength was 45 youths.The best season to reach there in monsoon.
You can reach here in two ways 1 from karjat and 2nd from Lonavala. We took the Karjat route. We catched the Karjat Train by 5:32 AM from Dombivli and reached karjat station in 1 hour. we had booked a mini bus to go to the trek starting point (Kondavane Village).
Otherwise you can take a share auto. From Karjat station you have to ask for a bridge where you will get a share auto. Its just take 5 min to reach bridge. Ask for Kondawade village and bargain with auto driver for fare charges as he will say 15 Rs. per person. The original charges for the villagers is 10 Rs. Also you can ask them for Kondavane village which he will charge more.
If you get down at Kondawade village you have to walk 30 min to reach kondawane village. as you reach the village you see 1 big house with a big gate opposite to river where you will get the breakfast. Take a break and start the hike........
Just outside the house you will see a kacha road towards hill. Follow the same. We started at 8AM and it took us 5 and 1/2 hrs to reach the top. Walk through the kacha road for 20 min and u will get a left turn where you can see a hut. (Alert: You have to follow the white arrow marked in stones which will start while climbing. Its a dense forest). First u will reach 1 small cave in 1 hr. There is a nice waterfall where u can take bath. Come down from the cave for a min and take a left which is the route to Rajmachi. The Journey starts here and follow the white arrow. As It was raining the way was little slippery and we reached Rajmachi village by 12:30 PM. You can see two peaks from the village. Village people are very good in nature. If u find them ask them for the route. We reached one of the peak in 1 hr. It was totally surrounded with the clouds so we coudnt see down. And it was heavily raining with heavy air. We reached top by 1:30 PM and took rest for an hour, had our lunch (carry lunch with u). U will also get food at Rajmachi. We havent got much time to reach the nxt peak as we have to get down. To reach another peak It will take another 1 hr. So we started to get down by 3 PM and we reached down by 6:30 PM. We took a halt at the same house in kondawane village and had tea. Came to Karjat Station by 8:15 and catched the local by 8:40 and reached back our home by 10 PM.
1 - The entire hike will take 2 days to complete wherein u can halt at Rajmachi as they have lodge and food facility.
2 - Follow the white arrow mark
3 - Dont throw any waste as it is a non pollution area.
3 - Its abt 3000 ft.
