Whenever there is nothing good coming on any other channel, Zee Cinema, Star Gold and Set Max come to my rescue. Time and again, they come up with amazing movies like Biwi Ho To Aisi, Jaani Dushman, Sansar, Haatimtai, Suryavansham, Ram Lakhan, etc. etc.
So sometime back, I had the oppurtunity to feast my eyes on Ram Lakhan, a movie directed by Subhash Ghai. I liked his other movies like Karz and Khalnayak and Ram Lakhan is also a nice movie.. So, here goes my review on it...

The Story
Rakhee and her kids are thrown out of their Haveli by her brother-in-law Amrish Puri and she goes to some other village... and considers Anupam Kher her brother.. Her husband is killed by Amrish Puri and Paresh Rawal and she raises her kids to grow up and be nice human beings.
Anil Kapoor loves Madhuri Dixit, who is Anupam Kher’s daughter and Jackie Shroff loves Dimple Kapadia, who is daughter of Sayeed Jaffery, who is Pooleece Commeeshionar.. By the way.. Amrish-winky-Puri is AK’s uncle... and has some probs with his left eye.. waise.. even Raza Murad has a stone right eye.. [that is because.. maine unki aankhein nikal kar gotiyan kheli hai..lol]
AK becomes some pooleece walah and because he wants to be rich, he becomes a corrupt pooleecewalah.. But his mother, Rakhee’s reactions brings him back to senses.. and goes for truth.. and then eventually good wins over evil..

But each and every song of the film has 1-2 ka 4, 4-2 ka 1, my name izzz Lakhan in the end.. I’m glad the song ’’mere do anmol ratan, ek hai raam aur ek lakhaannnn’’ didn’t have it.. otherwise.. imagine mixing the two songs.. ’’mere do anmol ratan, 4-2 ka 1, my name izzzz lakhan’’.. in their respective tunes...
Some Must Watch Scenes
-->When Raakhee wears that black outfit and goes to the haveli towards the climax.. I love the way Amrish Puri reacts on seeing her...
-->Whenever Sayeed Jaffery comes on screen with the pitch of his voice not matching the dialogue..[Doesn’t that remind you of Prem.. starring Sanjay Kapoor(remember him?) and Tabu... when SJ goes ’’nahin pannaaaaaa’’ lol]

Conclusion
Overall its a nice movie, but the ham scenes in the movie add to the fun!!
