Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital is a hospital situation in NDMC area of New Delhi. This is totally central government funded and controlled by Union Ministry of Health and Family welfare. Previously it was known as Willindon Hosptial. This hospital was established in British period to cater the medical requirement of the Government employees living in these areas. Later on it was greatly expanded and opened for the general public at large.
The infrastructures of the hospital is quite good and free medical facilities like X-ray and other pathological treatment, are provided to all coming to this hospital. So, people from all neighboring northern states come here for treatment resulting in very crowded one. Though the doctors at the hospital are very qualified and expert in their respective field but they pay no attention and priority to common man. They only attend the VVIP, Ministers and MPs and other high profile patients. Common men get treatment in a very negligent manner. In case of emergency, they only admit the patient and thereafter refer to some other private hospitals, to fight with their luck. It is the behavior and attitude of the doctors and other staffs make this hospital worse. only those patients come here who can not bear the medical expenses elsewhere.
