At the time of going to this place I was not very sure about how this was going to be. I had not heard a lot about this place and also it was way too far from where I stay.
So going there for lunch kept me thinking of how this place must be. A friend of mine, who loved this place was taking me there. She asked me to come to Matunga Central Station and from there she was going to join me to go to this place.
I reached there and looked all around, but I could not find my friend or the restaurant! She soon joined me and I began following her. Inside and inside we went and soon stopped at a non-descript building. My jaw dropped on seeing such a place that was so ancient and not so good looking! But as we went upstairs, we came to a big hall, where people were seated on wooden benches and tables and eating out of a Banana Leaf.
Wow the place looked so pretty and beautiful. All the thoughts of it not being very great were wiped out of my mind. The time I had gone, lunch per person costed Rs. 150/- Yes, do read it once again, 150/-! We were showed to a table and a clean Banana Leaf wad laid out for us. We clean it with some water and then began the rollercoaster of flavours! The **vegetables, rice, papad, chutney was just out-of-this-world.
So pleasant and divine!**We even got a choice of sweets, I chose Gulab Jamun and it was totally luscious!I am dying to go there again, but have not been able to, thanks to work and other commitments. But Rama Nayak, I will soon be coming there to enjoy another round of hearty lunch!
