I have visited RFC twice once with my parents and sister and recently with my spouse and daughter. The first time we went through the normal route i.e. Rs600/- ticket the second time we have to opt for the special package. Foremost advise is don’t take the special package. Probably u will loose a lot of thrill and excitement.
Don’t bother about standing in queue as the que is fast moving and any way u have the whole day to pass. for special package u will reach all the place to see on time but u will miss out on the actually attraction of scenery where a lot of shooting is carried out.
The special package will show u in moving bus but in normal trips u can get down and see for urself as the frequency of normal bus is very good. u can hop in hop out of them anytime. there are four show
RFC Action : you can see a lot of artistic work good.
Film magic it is good as they show u how film is made to certain extend.
The shunt show it is okay they perform shunt using cracker but is good.
there is another show where they will perform dance.
another show for kid u can miss it if u want.
the closing ceremony is open air any way by the time u will tired so u can relax and watch.
Check out for all the different types of parks the tour guide will show u can get down and see and later can hop on to another red bus. You can see the airport, jail, railway station all filmy style. Are all fun especially when u know how they make believe it on silver screen.
Carry a bottle of water and wear a good footwear shoe will be nice so that u can walk and see all the attraction. A very relaxing and exiting walk if u normally doesn’t hate walking. The main area has all types of eatery at reasonable rate so no need to carry anything as it will be a burden.
The RFC also has some arrangement to drop u back after the closing ceremony so if u have come with public transport [it will be good] they will drop u at few main city centre [though the cost might me more but its okay and comfortable].
Anyway using your own vehicle too will be same expense as the RFC is far off from the city and the parking charges are also high for the full day.
have a great breakfast and start at the earliest so that u can reach there around 9.30 10.00. You can buy ticket online too that will save some more time for u.
