Very very well made movie. All the characters are well developed and each of them play very important roles in the overall story. Excellent job by the writer Kamlesh Pandey of weaving two stories together and relating them so well to each other (fyi he gave us Tezaab and Jalwa and recently Aks). Glad to see that it is not a movie that is only based on Aamir Khan’s character who has given an excellent performance as have all the other actors and actresses in the movie. The soundtrack is the perfect complement for the movie. Great to see an original story and script made into a commercially viable movie without compromising on artistic values, which is what we often have to bear with Hindi movies. No unnecessary comedy of the movie, no overacting, no preaching, a story line that makes sense, no extended drawn out ending, no unnecessary melodrama, need I go on!
If you like movies with a good story you will like this. Although it will appeal on its commercial merits alone as well. Have not seen a Hindi movie like this for a long time. I may be stretching a bit as I have not seen Sholay recently but I think this well may be the Sholay of our times.
