I was just speechless when I saw ’’Rang De Basanti’’ . I couldn’t believe that here is a movie which is a perfect blend of beautiful script, interesting screenplay, thought provoking direction and if that wasn’t enough it was technically brilliant and the music was awesome. Rakesh Mehra deserves 10 on 10 for the challenging task of conveying the message across the wide spectrum of audience ranging from age 18 to 80 without loosing on the entertainment value of the product even for a single frame and all this in 2 hours 35 mins. There are no words to praise or compliment ’’Rang De Basanti’’. I think even the most beautiful word, cannot express the experience called ’’Rang De Basanti..’’. One can only feel the power of a movie of this caliber by watching it.
I always thought there were two kind of directors in Indian Cinema. One who make fun and family movies with the only agenda of entertaining the audience and the one who make serious meaningful cinema with a message for audience. But, then I met the third kind. ’’Rakesh OmPrakash Mehra’’
I am not sure abt the generation awakening , but I really hope the young directors in our country awake and notice what good cinema is all abt.
To say that Rakesh Mehra’s forth coming movie would be awaited with high expectations would be an understatement. But, looking at ’’Aks’’ and ’’Rang De Basanti’’ , I am sure he will have a winner again...May God gift him every Success he truly deserves.
