Naresh Iyer the Boy Genius

Dear all,

This review is solely written about my childhood friend. Naresh or Naaru as my bro Anand used to call him. He was a meek small about 5 foot tall boy standing outside my house in Matunga, Central Bombay those late nineties. Vijay, he would call me from below my house and when looked outside used to call me or rather sometimes even challenge my brother for a duel of Table Tennis. He was a very good player, but he was afraid of losing with my brother a better player. He was always a trier, occassionally he did beat my brother in some of the matches but that didnt make him lose his self belief that he can easily be the best in that sport. Time passed by, I still remember, I used to ask him to sing a song for me and there was he, a complete professional that he is, used to immediately oblige me by belting some of his Guru Rehman songs. He was superb and I used to always tease him as the latest Shankar Mahadevan or Hariharan(lot of Tamilians in Matunga those days). Well he did shine above all this, entered the Channel V Super Singer competition, was almost immediately spotted by A R Rehman and then there was no looking back. I shifted base from Bombay to Bucharest, Romania. This young man Naresh sent me regular mails and pictures of his latest happenings. This time around thats on 27th Jan, he called me up in sweet unassuming voice asking me whether if I was free to see him. I told him of course I was free, considering that this young meek sweet pal Naresh now singing 3 major songs for Rang De Basanti, I was completely floored. He kept his word, came to visit in our new residence at Powai at 8 in the evening and what an evening I and my family members and friends had, with my sweet pal Naresh as modest as always belting out ’’Roobaroo’’ from RDB to everyones delight. He is the latest Talent to offer in Bollywood and I am sure as the days, months and years go by people will hear more from this young talent. I wish Naresh All the Very Best in his career and May his Tribe Increase. A Modest yet such an amazingly successful young man, my friend you deserve NOTHING but the Best. God Bless You Pal. I bought this ALBUM only for my FRIEND and I am enjoying it. Go for it guys.
