’’Rang De Basanthi’’- Aamir khan starrer with Rahman on music and what else can one expect for?Its Sizzling music and RDB proves its name.Rahman certainly has a big variety.With Bose, The Rising, Rang De Basanti on a trought, Rahman rocks in creativity.The album may not attract you at the first listen, but will grow on you for sure.

Aesthetic masterpiece.A punjabi prayer rendered with purity and the first time I had a listen to this, I had goosebumps.Rahman stands unbeaten in this number and not to miss out Harshdeep’s voice-Its splendid.Outstanding Number even if it goes only for a very small duration
’’Rang De Basanthi’’
The Title track-I’ve heard a lot of negatives on this number that there is nothing
great.But I bet this is one number only ARR can perform.The strings in the song have a very strong resemblence of a song from his old ’’Paarthale Parvasam’’.But Daler and Rahman’s effort stills grows up and makes your leg tap on the floor.
’’Paatshala’’
This is one peppy number that would attract the young and the youth in minutes of hearing.A prominent rhythm that has a hold on the song.Good vocals by naresh and Aslam are Pluses.The guitar bits in the song provide a melody tint to the track.
’’Tu Bin’’
Madhushree and Naresh have beautifully portrayed the scenic melody of the song and the slow rhythm that supports the song makes an outstanding melody that will live long.But there are traces of Rahman’s old songs in the melody.
’’KhalBali’’
An arabian styled number with top notch performance of ARR in vocals.The song is not advisable for all the masses , but is truly a hummable number that can get into your brains sooner than you expect.There are a few arabian lyrics in and out of the song and blows a gust of arabian smell into our minds.
’’Khoon chala’’
A Stunning performance by Mohit, The vocals and the mixed down acoustic guitar rolls down your heart and certainly reaches the destiny.The lyrical sense of the song is also a great positive .The beauty of the song lies in the movement and transition till the end.Just perfect.
’’Lukka Chuppi’’
My pick of the album.Lataji and Rahman come together for the first time in a song and they undoubtedly pick the senses and walk you through a melody that can only be felt.Passionate voice of Rahman adds up the essense, The Aalap at the end is well above the best.
’’Paatshaala-Be a rebel’’
The second version of paatshala is accomodated with the rapper Blaaze’s https://lyrics.The song what I personnaly felt was no match the original.But not to curse it is also a good number.
’’Lalkaar’’
The hero comes into play.Aamir had rendered the lyrical beuaty with passion and the background hums triggers the passionate fire in us.Again there are a few instances and resemblences with Rahman’s older versions.
’’Roo Ba roo’’
Naresh and Rahman sings a very catchy yet different number that has a beautful
combination of techno music and melody.Rahman’s rendition of the ’’Rubaroo’’ reminds a previous number, but never lets you get diverted from it.
Personally ’’Rang De Basanti’’ is a fresh and heart pumping album that is not the best of ARR, but sure is a great album.Sit back and Enjoy the rocking album!!!
