Who said that there are no tigers in Ranthambore? In two jungle safari rides in two days I and my friends & family have seen Nine (9) different tigers. Can you imagine, Yes it is true, on 13 & 14 th June 2007 my dear friends I have seen nine different tigers. Where are those media people who were crying all the time with crocodile tears that there areno tigers left in Ranthambore. It is really a pity for the sake of cheap publicity and different mottos people go to any extent.
Any way it was one of the most wonderful and thrilling experience of my life when I visited Ranthambore in this scorching summer & heat. Infact this is a Great Tip, if you really want to see the tigers in Ranthambore visit the park in the months of May/June early morning. This is the time when Tigers come to water ponds & lakes to quench their thirst. The King of the Jungle is always there to welcome you in this magnificent park efficiently managed by Rajasthan Tourism and Forest department. The officials and staff are very courteous and do not leave any thing to make your visit to the park memorable. The efficient guides have all the information about the park & animals. My Nature guide Mr. Islam Khan (+91-9413886132) knows each & everything about the movement of the Tigers.
He was instrumental when we continuously followed the Tigress (Lady of the Lake) movement for more than one hour in deep forest. His judgment was superb & excellent and it made my visit most memorable of my life. First day we managed to see 5 different tigers , i.e 2 tigresses with 3 grown up cubs and next day one tigress with 3 small cubs. The peculiar call from Peacocks, Sambhar, Spotted Deer, Monkeys when they saw the tigers make the environment more thrilling and adventurous. Besides the charm of Tiger the fauna & flora in this dense forest is marvellous. Viewing other animals while in search of Tiger makes the environment more electrifying. If one is lucky he can also see Leopard but it is really rare.
The stay at Ankur Resort (+91-746 2220792, ) was pleasantly managed by Meena’s the owner of the resort. The Tip is these months, May-June are off seasons in the park and I managed to get a AC suite for Rs 1000 (25 $)/day. The food and warmth of the staff always encourages you to visit the resort & park again. Evenings you can chill down in the swimming pool. The resort can book Gypsy’s on demand and it is meant for six people . These Gypsys can also be booked online via Rajasthan Tourism Web site
( http://www.rajasthantourism.gov.in) . Friends this is a great bargain at this price at this Big Tourist attraction.
