Ranveer singh started his career with band baja baarat movie with anushka sharma which was a supwrhit movie of that time. His dancing skills were noticed more than actimg skills in the movie.
I personally started noticing him from the movie GUNDAYwherein he ( as bikram bose) and arjun kapoor( bala bhattacharya) run a mafiya of illelegal coal mines business in culcutta in 1970s which started from a small robbery to big mafiyas.
In the movie these two heros actually fall in love with cabere dancer staring priyanka chopra( as nandita sengupta) and the misunderstandings created by this love leading to rivalry
The second movie I liked was LOOTERA by Vikaramadithya Motwane based on a short story of O. Henry written in 1907 The last leaf.
Ranveer singh in this movie plays a role of thief with three different names( as atmanand tripathi, varun shrivastava or vijay) . Being an orphan he was bought up by his uncle who teaches him robbery. During this process he meets sonakshi sinha( pakhi Roy choudhary) he gets into her house as an artist where she requests him to teach drawings but ends up falling in love with each other. As usual ranveer robs things from sonakshi’s house and elopes which effects her father and makes him fall sick and attain divinity
After long years they meet again he apologises n leave the place where he was gun shot by police. In this process there was a tree hwich sonakshi use to stare everyday and she decided when the last leaf sheds from the tree she will kill herself.
Wounded ranveer somehow makes an artificial leaf and keeps it on the tree which was the most cute part of the film. He has played a very yr innocent role in this movie
Next one was the legendary film Bajirao mastaani where he played the role of Bajirao balnaad appointed as a peshwa in maratha dynasty. The entry only created goosebump inside me. Being a non marathi actor the accent he uses and the attitude body language of marathas that he evolved in himself proves the perfectionist nature of ranveer
Starting from meeting mastaani( deepika padukone) to climax scene he has done complete justice to his role.
Starting from the maratha attitude to falling sick and depressed and death he has showed his versatility very aptly
Next would be the movie padmawat. During my history classses I had never imagined alauddin khilji this way. I think the movie became famous mainly because of alauddim khilji and padmawati characters
In short I feel ranveer is the most versatile actor. He wears his attitude with all his comfort. He is hardworking and does justice to all his characters let it bajirao or kapoor and sons. His dancing and mimicri skills are also as good as his a acting skills. I love the way he does mimicri of anil kapoor. I think he can be the king of vollywood in the upcoming days
