An authentic nice Kongunaadu restaurant You can locate this restaurant at Raja Annamalai Road , Purasaiwalkam , Near Dharmaprakash Kalyana Mandapam... It is a very good place to dine with family and friends when youve lots to discuss and when you need a peaceful no-noisy environment... In that cases just drop in to Rasam. The interiors are good and the buildig which the restaurant is might have been a lavish building of a Zameendar. The interiors are good...Most of the utensils that are used for serving are traditional styled copper vessels. On seeing the menu card youll learn what were the traditional cuisines that are almost extinct now in our households. All the dishes are damn tasty and the service is damn good...
I wish every one should try teh special thaali that is served with Panagam(a drink made of jaggrey) and youve so many dishes that will fill your stomach. The dishes that are available include variety of soups, cuisines that are extinct in households, payasams n starters that r only made very rarely at home... At times if u r lucky ull also find some musician singling r playing traditional instruments...the other good thing is they provide special seating chairs for kids below six and kids get excited and theres no trouble in eating...
You can also find photos of the old chennai, antiques(radio) at krishna sweets below the restaurant... Its a nice place to visit once so that u can make a regular visit, who told there r less dishes for veggies...Go to Rasam and youll find so many yummy veg dishes thatll induce ur taste buds...
