Rashmi Rocket was my sixth Taapsee Pannu film after Pink, Naam Shabana, Badla, Thappad, and Haseen Dillruba. After seeing RaamLeela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavati, I feel like Im witnessing a queen anytime I see Deepika Padukone! Similarly, every time I see Taapsee Pannu, I get the impression that Im witnessing a fearless actor!
Then theres Abhishek Banerjee, also known as the compounder, from Mirzapur, and Vishal Tyagi from Patal Lok. Now, in Rashmi Rocket, attorney Eeshit Mehta. He is a superb and underappreciated actor. Shweta Tripathis performance elevated Rashmi Rocket to the level of Mirzapur, Masaan, and Haraamkhor. Priyanshu Painyulis performance after Mirzapur 2 was outstanding. Everyone was completely immersed in character, just like him. Im afraid Im not going to say anything about Supriya Pathak. She is the center of attention on the screen!
Rashmi Rocket didnt come as a shock to me. I watched it because of Taapsee Pannu, and it was a pleasant experience. The music was quite appealing. I enjoyed the time spent with my family. To transform into a Rashmi Rocket from a conventional Rashmi, there is always a need for a Gagan Thakur and a supporting family. I dont mind if the cinematography is poor as long as the plot is compelling. The cinematography will ultimately improve. However, I had no idea that female athletes were subjected to gender tests. It was refreshing to see someone challenging international law from a rational standpoint. Director Akarsh Khurana did an excellent job.
