I think to rate a review as not recommended can be **very** disturbing to the author. It knocks their self confidence down. I think that if the reader feels that the review needs quite a bit more work then they should try and approach the author through commenting their review, in a respectful and gentle nature. This way the author of the review feels more welcome to write more reviews, **which is what we want on mouthshut isnt it?**
When I rate a review I dont consider at all the quantity but I definitely consider the quality, which is the major factor being reviewed. Just because a review is long it doesnt mean that it is absolutely magnificent. A review like this *could* be said in one paragraph.
I also look at how in depth the review has been written or how well researched it is. I just recently read a review ontea or coffee and I thought the author did well on researching. His point was proved because of the back-up information he had given.
I do read other peoples comments and ratings as well. Although I **do not** follow what they decide I do take interest in reading what theyve said, which can maybe **help** you sometimes to decide on your rating.
Literary devices and punctuation is something that always helps me decide. It shows me that the author is capable of using these tools.
So these are the aspects which I look at in a review.
**Love to hear your replies.**
