I visited this place first time with my best friend. She is the one who suggested me this place and said it is nearby and good crowd with really good sea food. Now most of you know my love for food and sea food. So I decided to go there with my best friend. I loved the first floor which is the family set up on the weekends.
Ratnagiri Malvani Food Family Restaurant & Bar in Mira Road is just 5 minutes in rickshaw from Mira Road Station. It is favorable for family get together and also date nights or dinner or lunch with friends.

The food is tasty. If you want to have a proper Malvani cuisine, visit this place for its tasty Kombdi vade which is yummy.
Crowd: Now this is specific to a Weekend. On the Weekend, they open the upstairs for family crowds. On the other hand on the weekdays they have the family and men crowd seated on the ground floor(where the bar is located). Though there is a separate section for family on the ground floor but walking through the place where there are 10 drunken men is at times weird. The staff and security is always there so that is no problem.
Ambience: The ambience is really nice. It is very colorful. They have low music on and sports channel always on, on mute though.
Staff appeal: The staff is very friendly and suggestive. However, they always are in a hurry to clear the tables and put in the remaining food, which is a little annoying at times.
Food: I love the prawns oriental. It is the must have every time I visit Ratnagiri Malvani Food Family Restaurant & Bar.
I really love the prawns oriental along with the special green chutney they have. The combination is just next to perfect with a chilled beer. Also, try the kombdi vade that they serve. It is yum. We had once had the Ratnagiri Special Non-Veg Thali. It was over whelming with mutton, chicken, fish fry, fish gravy, roti/vade, rice, and sol-kadhi, sweet. It was just too filling, but yummy.
I also love the Crab Masala they make. They bring live crabs for you to choose and then after we select it, they make it the way we want it. All you need to say make it as per the chef and you will get the best crab you ever had.
When you go there for a dinner or lunch, also try the Ravas fry. Yes! They will bring the entire fish again. Yayyyy!
I love this place for some special dinner dates or family time out, because I cannot survive on the Malvani food every day.
