Ratnakar is one of best Assamese film that I watched so far. It is directed by Jatin Bora and produced by JB Production. It stars Jatin Bora as Jayanta (the main protagonist), Barasha Rani Bishaya as Manashi (Jayanta’’’’s love interest), Ashramika Saikia as Dubori (Jayanta and Manashi’’’’s daughter) and Nishita Goswami as Daisy (Dubori’’’’s school teacher). Other artists like Sanjeev Hazarika, Padmarag Goswami, Bishnu Kharghoria, Chetana Das, Hiranya Deka etc. shines in other supporting roles.
The film shows two different phases of Jayanta’’’’s life: how he struggles to rise Dubori single handedly in a hill station, leaving behind his past life(seems to be a nightmare for him now), why some of his enemies from pasts is seeking for her daughter and when they find her what will happen to them - all these questions will be answered to the viewers.
All the critics and viewers are praising the quality of the film. The Acting, Action, Music, Cinematography, Technical background etc. all are brilliant and makes the movie worth watching. I personally recommend you to watch Ratnakar and help in the growth of Assamese cinema.
