Ratya College of Law situated at Ropar was affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala becomes deemed university. Infrastructure of the college is good but there is shortage of good lecturers. The teachers are less as compare to the strength of the students. The college management don’t pay to the teachers as per UGC guidelines. This is the main reason that the teaching staff is less. The fee structure of the college is very high as compare to the facilities provided to the students. No moot court competition, Debate and quiz competitions are organized in this college. The students have not freedom to choose the different subjects out of optional subjects. whole class have to choose same subject out of optional subjects. As per UGC guidelines a 180 days are compulsory for teaching in a Academic year. But this rule is not followed by the college authorities. The management do not encourage the passout students for visiting the college. Therefore, there is not any alumni network. The placement cell is not active hence the campus Placement of the college is very poor.
