I havent heard anything against Readers Digest to date. We in our family have been reading this magazine from long. First my father is a fan of this magazine. Than I got hooked on it. Still whenever I get time, I prefer to read this magazine or digest than other magazines which contains classic articles (with reprints) as well as new. One get to read the best literature and articles selected from variety of sources. You have Drama in Real Life where you get to read about heroic deeds and incidents/accidents in real persons life. You have Word Power section to increase and test your memory. You have books in short. You have advice on daily life, health and many things. Even the fillers are great. Humour in Uniform, Laughter the Best Medicine etc. tickles you with clean jokes and fun. It is many magazines in one. It is written in standard English. It helps students and learners to not only increase ones word power but also to learn the standard English. It is fun in learning. It must be recommended to all learners and users of English. The Indian edition has gone thin than too I find all the editions of Digest worth reading, treasuring and collecting. Thats why there is a big collection of old Readers Digests in my house with many old Canadian, Australian, British, US editions... as we can read the articles there again and again. Every child should be introduced to the knowledge and language of Readers Digest.
