Wordly Accepted

Reader’s Digest is one of the few magazines which has an Universal appeal to it. Published in US, it is subscribed Universally. Apart from being published in English, it is also published in Spanish, French, German etc. With a more than 30Million copies sold monthly, it is one of the most sold magazines in the world.

Reader’s Digest has been a long standing publication without any controversy have proved its reports/news authenticity. From the time of its inception the reports/news published are very precise. The sleekness of the reports/news attracts new readers and keep old subscribers satisfied. Each publication has been content wise very good, never boring.

It caters to a large section of people by having, Politics, Scientific and Medical Journals/Reports, Home Truths, True Stories and Cookery sections. But I personally find Humor Section, esp. Humor in Uniform, the best section. Its humor is very refreshing. The ’’Word Power’’ section is for all, giving us definitions and usage, of English Words.

The non-controversial type of journalism that the Reader’s Digest provide us, may for some be ’’Bland Form’’ of journalism, but for my personal taste it is the ’’Stamp of Authenticity’’. It always careful about write-ups of National Interest, and always lets the people decide of the Report/News to their own best ability, rather than commenting on its own report(remember Times Of India).

This magazine is best enjoyed during Travel, because of its small size it very easy to put in a Pocket and carry wherever you wish to. At the price of Rs 40, its one of the best magazine to cater for your and your family’s need for Enjoyable Reading.
