Orange juice....Its hard to describe other than to say it the sweet juice of the state fruit of my home state, Florida.
There are many different types of oranges and all of them make a wonderful juice, full of vitamins and minerals. Just one 8 ounce serving of fresh orange juice contains 100% of your recommended intake of vitamin C, 2% of calcium, 10% of thiamine, 10% of folate(folic acid)6% of magnesium and 2% of phosporous.
There is about 120 calories, no fat, no sodium, about 10% carbohydrates and about 10% potassium. It even contains about 1% of protein.
It is wonderfully refreshing when served ice cold, at breakfast time or at any time of the day or night.
Sometimes we freeze orange juice in little ice cube trays and use the orange ice cubes in other drinks, for a refreshing change of taste.
You can, of course, have fresh o.j., frozen concentrate(add water and its o.j. again)and packaged o.j. with added calcium, to make it even healthier. Any way you have it, orange juice is a most refreshing and healthy drink.
