The Realme 8 pro has a 4500mAh battery on the phone can comfortably last for more than a day. The 50W fast charging remains a massive advantage for phones from Realme and other BBK subsidiaries like Oppo and OnePlus. This is a downgrade from the 65W fast charging support on the Realme 7 Pro, and Realme says that cut back was one of the outcomes of the whole approach of making the 8 Pro more affordable than the 7 Pro.
If you compare the specs to the 7 pro, not much has changed on paper. I can’t really say I’m a fan of the “bold” design choices over on the back of the phone. The unmissable brand slogan is just a bit too loud and unnecessary for my taste. Some might also have issues with the plastic mid-frame, but I found it to constructed well enough. Compared to metal, it should be a bit more resistant to dings from accidental drops. Meanwhile, tactile feedback for the power button is excellent. The unsegmented volume rocker, on the other hand, doesn’t always register.
