At last I got the book that Iwanted to read a long time before.It was in 1985 that I came to know about this book.
Those times when TV was in its early stage in south india I used to wait for the late night movies aired in doordarshan.Most of them were classic english movies.One such night I chanced to see the title ’’Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier’’.Opening was really scary but very good.It was already 11 pm, I was alone at home, movie seemed to be horror film and all the more I was tired from the days work.And I missed the movie.
But then on I was in search but could’nt get the novel.
Now I got it and read it .Really fantastic work.
It is of course a modern masterpiece.
Then I went through the intrnet in search of the details about the author. I have started to adore her.
Ther are two sequels for the book.’’Mrs de Winter ’’ by Susan Hill (1993) and
’’Rebecca’s Tale ’’ by Sally Beauman (2001).
I am in search of those.
