I am M Rajendran, an ex –service man. I served in Indian Army (Army Medical Corps) for 24 years as an operation theater technician in various military hospital all over India. After my retirement in March 2009, within month I got job in Recoup Hospital.
About Recoup Hospital, I would like to say that it is one of the best hospitals in the world. In this hospital we are treating cerebral palsy kids like birth syndrome, delayed milestone etc. We also treathHip subluxation, femoral anteversion, tibial torson, myofacial surgical release to reduce spasticity.
In this hospital have an excellent surgical team with managing director and orthopaedic surgeon Dr Deepak Sharan and anaesthesiologist Dr Anil Kumar Bharadwaj.
Dr Deepak Sharan having many qualifications from many institutions in India and abroad. As he has numerous awards and honors that it’s uncountable. Having so many awards and honors still he is a very simple and hard working person. He works late night treating and consulting patients that he never looks into time, he has no time bar when it comes to serve the patients.
Extensive research and experience of Dr Deepak Sharan and his team conceptualized SEMELARASS at Recoup Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation Center at Bangalore. Expension of SEMLARASS is Single Event Multilevel Lever Arm Restoration and Anti Spsticity Surgery. All surgeries are completed under a single anesthetic, requiring only one hospital admission and one period of rehabilitation.
In other hospital the same surgery (SEMLARASS) are done under different surgeons, different hospital and two or more hospital admission. But in this hospital this surgery is done under single anesthesia, requiring only one hospital admission. This helps to saving time and money.
We have all the modern equipments and instruments like anaesthesia machine, NIBP monitor, autoclave machine. All the instruments are autoclaved before and after surgery and operation theater is fumigated every week. This reduces any post operation infection.
I have worked here for last 5 years as an OT technician and assisted so many cases, In my present from the last 5 years, we have never seen a single post surgery infection.
