Red Fort is a historic fort in the city of Delhi in India. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal dynasty for nearly 200 years, until 1856. It is located in the center of Delhi and houses a number of museums. It was Constructed in 1639 by the fifth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as the palace of his fortified capital Shahjahanabad, the Red Fort is named for its massive enclosing walls of red sandstone and is adjacent to the older Salimgarh Fort, built by Islam Shah Suri in 1546 AD.
I visited this place so many times. It’s a beautiful place to visit and enjoy your time. There are lot’s of functions used to happen every day. School student used to visit Red Fort in group with their teachers.
Security wise it’s good because police always remain on alert there because so many foriegn visitors also come there every day.
Chandni Chawk is the nearby market to visit from Red Fort where you can buy clothes and other things at cheaper rate.
There are various hotels also present there where you can eat food of your choice. There are various food points on the street.
Overall you will enjoy a lot after visiting this place.
