I tried to book my ticket for sunday, 29-11-2009 through redbus.in frm bangalore to chennai for tomorrow, i.e. Sunday the 20th Nov, with the operator being Geepee travels. There in the booking software, I mistook saturday for sunday and clicked on book now button.
My payment was successful, and when I saw my e-ticket, to my horror I saw that the ticket has been wrongly booked for saturday, not sunday! Then I went on to the process of cancelling the ticket immediately. The software blatantly told me that it is not possible now.
Then I called up redbus call center, but nobody picked up the phone, it was going to voicemail. Then through google search I got a number of certain Mr. Vijay, who told me that it is not possible to cancel the ticket...HE FLATLY SAID, "U MADE THE MISTAKE, NOW PAY FOR IT!!" and he went on talking on another phone..Such was the attitude of redbus staff. At least they should be lenient enough to tell the same thing kindly, but no, these guys dont have any manners at all.
Now I lost my money, and I have made it a point NOT TO BOOK THROUGH REDBUS AT ALL. I think its their modus operandi to design such software, with a confusing calender ( to search the date of journey) and then earn money like this...
Really I urge people to either go for direct website of bus operators or go over the counter and book your seats!!!
