In Redbus I booked a ticket for my Father-in-law to travel from Marthandam (Kanyakumar dist.) to Chennai to participate in a mega conference. Listed bus was Bharathi-Mookambika Travels and the ticket was generated with Ticket No. & PNR. When my Father-in-law reached the boarding point he was shocked to hear that somebody else is travelling in the same seat and the bus did not onboard my Father-in-law & left the boarding point.
My Father-in-law was clueless at that night as there is no other option left. I tried reaching the Bharathi-Mookambika Travels management for help and they told they do not have any tie-up with Redbus. I then tried reaching the Redbus in the toll free no (thought its toll free, but its not) couple of times and all the time they told they will get back to me in 10 mins., and nobody called me up. My Father-in-law was not able to attend the conference which was been awaited for 2 years and as he did not carry enough money to procure another ticket, we lost the whole planned trip.
I thought of taking this up with the consumer court for justice as the value of this conference is Crores and the tension for the whole night was unbearable. If somebody has to add more ideas to this you are welcome.
