I booked two tickets onward and return journey to Chennai from Bangalore on redbus.in. I picked the cash on delivery option and I received a order number and phone number for reference. Then one person called me and told me he will come to my home and take the booking. I asked him if my reservation is complete and he said yes it is and I need not worry. The person showed up to my home after 36 hours. Then he uses his mobile to find a ticket for me.
Most of the seats were booked by then and the one I had reserved was gone. So I had to book a ticket which was priced higher and in a bus that I did not want. My suggestion to all is not to book using cash on delivery because there is no guarantee the bus and seat you booked is still available. Redbus should instead remove the cash on delivery option. It makes no sense.
